- University of Alberta
The University of Alberta is probably the most thought of institution when it comes to post-secondary education in Alberta. It is located just outside of Edmonton’s downtown core. There are tons of factors for this. The school is among the top 5 in the country and within the top 100 in the world. They facilitate a wide range of degrees and course opportunities. In addition to, an incredible athletics program that does well in the Canada West USPORTS division. MacEwan University is another great example of post-secondary education in the province. This school is situated right in the heart of Edmonton. Here, they boast smaller class sizes with a teaching focus. MacEwan offers everything from bachelors’ degrees to diplomas. All while being located right in the downtown core of Edmonton, AB.
- Concordia University College
Lastly, on our list is the small Lutheran University College called Concordia. This post-secondary school has a great focus on academic excellence. In accordance with top-quality teaching, the school offers 45 majors and minors in various fields. The stunning campus overlooks the river valley of Edmonton. Furthermore, this facility is located just outside of the downtown area. Thus, making it a little more peaceful and easy to navigate.
